Starting training and education in 1997-98 academic year with 3 faculties and 2 vocational schools, İstanbul Kültür University now admits students to 36 higher education programs in 7 faculties and 3 vocational schools. Internalizing a holistic educational approach based on versatility and conscious of the fact that art and culture is as important as course content, subjects and programs in educational activities, Kültür University attaches importance to interdisciplinary cooperation.
Designers of Kültür University buildings have strained every nerve to ensure that students experience art and culture in every corner of the university.
One of the most preferred manufactured brick series of Stonewrap, Granulbrick Red was used in wallcoverings of Pigastro Cafe, one of the best-loved corners of the university. Students of Kültür University enjoy conversing, listening to music and grabbing a bite to eat at Pigastro Cafe at a natural, rustic, comfortable and warm environment at breaks between their classes or in their free time. Whereas texture and color of bricks imbue a nostalgic air, brick pointing techniques intersperse the design of the place with modernist lines.
