The idea of manufacturing Manufactured Stone in Turkey came up when I coincidentally met the owner of Rock Replicas of Virginia Donald Crites in 1996 in Virginia/USA. Crites had started manufacturing his own invention Manufactured Stone in 1961 which had no analogue yet. He improved his technique over the years, and the products in his small but very successful decorative artificial stone manufacturing plant were unbelievably similar to natural stones. Two years after our encounter with Crites, we manufactured our first manufactured stone in Turkey with his assistance. In addition to its amazing naturality, its lightness and readiness for use made this product a very good idea.
Crites also pioneered today’s biggest manufacturing firms with the techniques he developed. Providing manufacturing services with the brand name StoneWrap which was started by using the know-how and experiences of Donald Crites, our firm today raised its quality above world standards by proceeding on the road of Donald Crites and investing in advanced technologies.
In 2010, our firm purchased the Cultured Brick manufacturing plant and technologies from the fifty-year-old firm De RyckNW-Belgium, one of the pioneers of Manufactured Stones and Bricks in Europe which made a difference especially in brick manufacturing, and thus took a very important in step in Cultured Brick manufacturing.
Our firm raised the number of its manufacturing lines to three by building an automatic cutting-edge technology 48.000 m2/month capacity manufacturing line in 2015. Thus, while increasing its capacity significantly on one hand, it also took its manufacturing quality one step further on the other hand.
In 2016, we started to reap the fruits of our one-year work by combining our 18-year experience in the industry with Italian aesthetic and the experience of Rastone SPA, a firm that is active in stone and marble market for 3 generations in Italy and is StoneWrap distributor in Italy for 14 years. We added new series to our products and developed a new color system therewith. It is now much more difficult to differentiate our manufactured stones from natural stones. Numerous alternatives are possible when they are mixed together thanks to their incredibly harmonious colors and textures.
