1. Evaluation of Stone Requirement
First, measure the area to be covered with StoneWrap stone products by multiplying the length and the height of the wall. If the area has windows or doors, subtract the area of these openings from the total area. Measure the length of the outside corners to determine the amount of cornerstones. One linear meter of cornerstones covers approximately 0.35 m2 of the flat area. Subtract the amount of cornerstones as square meters from the square meters of flat stone required. Add about 5% extra amount of stone for cutting and trimming requirements.
2. Tools Requirement

Professionally : Wheel Borrow, Level, Saw or Grinder, Hock and Trowel, Dust Mask, Wide Mount Nippers 3. Surface Area Preperation
The surface that StoneWrap stone products are applied should be clean, flat, dry and free of grease.
Selection of Mortar :
Coloring the Mortar : If desired, iron oxide color could be added to the mixture. It will affect the enhanced character of the finished product properly. Application : Apply the mortar on the area about 1.5 cm in thickness by using a plasterer's trowel or mason's trowel. In order not to dry the mortar on the surface, work within ½ - 1 m2 area in each case. 4. Stone Application PhasesHint : Although most common application is bottom up, fitting the stones from top down keeps the previously fitted stone clean against dripped mortar. Hint :Do not forget, all trimmed pieces of StoneWrap stone are applicable.
Apply mortar to the back side of each stone, press it into the mortar bed. Excess mortar must be taken away by a mason's trowel. Be sure that the mortar bed and the stone are completely bonded. This could be achieved by stripping the stone firmly.
Hint : First apply the corner stones. Since corner stones have one long and one short side, differ these sides in opposite manner in application.
Hint : Do not use long rectangular stones vertically. The main concept is to obtain similar appearance with a wall created by natural stones Hint : If the surfaces of stones become dirty with mortar, wait until the mortar becomes crumbly, then remove the smears using a whisk broom. Color Mortar should be used to fill the joints. A Grout Beg will help you for this purpose.
![]() Use a wooden stick or painting tool, to clean the joints from excess mortar when the mortar joints have still wet.
![]() Brush to remove loose mortar and to clean the surface of stones when the mortar is set up. Always use a dry brush to avoid staining.
